THE BIG LIE… A Republican is a Republican is a Republican.

Written by Todd Vaughn

Recently, I heard a famous influencer articulate a concept that should ALWAYS inform our thinking when supporting (or opposing) a “Republican” candidate.

He said: “politicians are only interested in three things… getting elected, getting re-elected, and getting elected to a higher office.”

That’s it… these three goals are the driving force behind everything that a “true politician,” thinks and does… FULL STOP. It doesn’t matter whether they are a Democrat or a Republican. They are the exact same animal. The only difference is the type of political rhetoric that works on their constituents… as defined by carefully chosen issues, posturing, and verbal-deceptions.

That said, the only likely thoughts in the minds of “true politicians” are: “what kind of person do my voters want me to be, and what kind of things do they want me to say?” Once these things are understood, everything else is theater… and a “true politician” is just an actor on the stage. He or she wears the right costume, studies and rehearses the right lines, and “spontaneously” exhibits the right emotional vulnerability (perhaps a tear) when the moment calls for it. This is what most voters have come to expect, and in general, this is the “modus operandi” that most “true politicians” adhere to these days.

If you need proof, watch and listen to our local elected officials. Tim Freeman has suspenders on and acts like he’s a logger. David Brock Smith has his rancher boots on, and for emphasis, has recently bought a ranch (complete with photo ops). Virgil Osborn is just a “good ole boy” with a jacked-up truck that “gets down” in the mud! They are all a bunch of real “he-men,” with fancy four-wheel drives (and ever-expanding real-estate portfolios).

Even our County Clerk is riding in style with a big new Dodge Ram Truck. Someone certainly seems to appreciate his handy work as our local election official. Indeed, perhaps we should ask ourselves: “Are Douglas County’s elected officials so good at being “true politicians” that they can’t be defeated (I would add “at the ballot box,” but there is no “ballot box” any more)? Or are they beneficiaries of a fraudulent “Vote By Mail” election system that keeps them in power BECAUSE they are “true politicians?” After all Secretary of State Tobias Read may be a Democrat, but he too, is a “true politician,” and he knows that “true politicians” have got to stick together.

Indeed, “true politicians” always help each other to achieve the common goals that they all embrace: to attain power, to retain power, and to increase in power. They are all playing the exact same game, and in the big picture, party-affiliation makes no real difference to any of them. It’s all about the power (and “the Benjamins!”).

You see, “true politicians” secretly adhere to what they refer to as “The 11th Commandment,” which clearly lays out the one unspoken law of politics… THOU SHALL NOT SPEAK EVIL OF YOUR FELLOW “TRUE POLITICIAN”.

Recently, “establishment-Republicans” (“true politicians”) who are embedded in the Oregon Republican Party, changed the ORP Bylaws (led by DBS) with an intention to eliminate any accountability to the underpinning concepts that separate Republicans from Democrats. Then they pushed a new Republican Party Platform that would allow them to operate effectively with their counterparts in the Democrat Party while appearing credible to their constituents back home.

To put it very simply, we now have two political factions fighting for control in Oregon (and throughout this nation), and the battle is not Democrat vs Republican (as you may believe).

This epic battle is between the Uni-Party (“true politicians”) and MAGA (“true populists”). Therefore… choose your Republican Candidates carefully. Anyone can put an “R” behind their name!
